1. 1 TECHNICAL DATA SHEET REABILITA CAL RJ NATURAL HYDRAULIC LIME REPOINTING MORTAR FOR OLD MASONRY 1. DESCRI PTION REABILITA CAL RJ is a dry mortar , formula ted from exclusiv e binders base d on Natural Hydraulic Lime , carefully selected siliceous and calcareous aggregates and additions , intended for the repointing of old masonry . It has particular pro perties of adhesion and durability especially adapted to the intended purpose . 2. FIELD OF USE REABILITA CAL RJ is used in restoration and aesthetic rehabilitation of visible old masonry when it is intended to respect the original aspect of that constructiv e element, by filling the joints between the elements . Its physical - chemical characterization enables it to perform optimally in terms of adherence to the various types of stone elements that constitute the substrate s of this nature. REABILITA CAL RJ is a mo rtar whose ap p lica tion implies its direct expos ure to rainfall water , reaso n why , its composi tion includes additions of specific agents to improve its water - repellent properties, ensuring breathability of the wall . 3. PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS Powdered product Val ue Standard Granulometry < 2,0 mm - Paste product Val ue Mixing water 18,0 ± 1,0 % - Hardened Product Val ue Standard Compressive strength Class CS I EN 1015 - 11 Adhesion to brick and block / Mode of fracture ≥ 0,2 MPa / A and B EN 1015 - 12 Modulus of elasticity 2250 - 2750 N/mm2 BS 1881 - 5 Density 1650 ± 150 kg/m3 EN 1015 - 10

3. 3 TECHNICAL DATA SHEET REABILITA CAL RJ NATURAL HYDRAULIC LIME REPOINTING MORTAR FOR OLD MASONRY Under these conditions daily watering of the surfaces should be carried out, for one week, so as to keep renders permanently moist . Application in the presence of strong winds may cause render cracking. In such case, walls should be prot ected so as to minimize the effects of wind action . e) Complementary Advices The mixing water should be free of any impurities (clays, organic matter) and drinking water should be preferably used ; No mortar that has exceeded its open time should be appl ied. Do not soften mortars by adding water after preparation ; Do not add any other products to the mortar . REABILITA CAL RJ should be applied as it is shown in its original packaging . 5. PACKAGING AND VALIDITY Packaging 25 kg paper bags in plasticize d pallets of 54 bags . Valid ity 6 months provided the conditions of the original packaging remain unaltered and in good storage conditions, protected from extreme temperature and humidity . 6. HEALTH AND SAFETY (DOES NOT REPLACE CONSULTATION OF THE PRODU CT SAFETY DATA SHEET )  Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin;  May cause sensitization in contact with skin;  Do not breathe dust;  Avoid contact with skin and eyes;  If it comes in contact with eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water and s eek a specialist advice;  Use protective clothing and appropriate gloves;  Keep out of children’s reach .

2. 2 TECHNICAL DATA SHEET REABILITA CAL RJ NATURAL HYDRAULIC LIME REPOINTING MORTAR FOR OLD MASONRY Capil l ari ty Class W2 EN 1015 - 18 Permeability to water vapour μ ≤ 15 EN 1015 - 19 Reaction to fire Class A1 EN 988 - 1 Thermal conductivity 0,82 W/(m.K) (P =50%) NP EN 1745 4. A P PLICA TION a) Substrate preparation First of all, complete removal of the joint mortar of masonry to be rehabilitated should be carried out . The most appropriate removal methodologies should be used so as not to damage the existing wa ll . Brush cleaning of the stone and / or ceramic elements with a wire brush should be carried out in order to obtain a good adhesion surface, eliminating the disaggregated materials or that could affect the adhesion of the new mortar . b) Mortar preparation R EABILITA CAL RJ should be mix ed in a continuous product mixing equipment . In machines without automatic dosing of water, mix REABILITA CAL RJ in the propor tion of 4,0 to 4,5 litre s of water per 2 5 kg bag . In machines with automatic dosing of water, a djust the minimum water flow that allows good workability . c) A p plica tion After mixing , REABILITA CAL RJ should be ap pli ed manually , in order to properly fill voids in the joints between the various elements of the masonry to be treated. For a larger joint filling , work should be carried out in two stages so that the first mortar layer has sufficient consiste nc y for that purpose . If needed , dur ing the first filling, small stone pieces involved with the mortar may be used. For an additional surface pro te ction after 28 d ays, application of REDUR AD 40 is recommended . Seeing that there are specific situations in each rehabilitation work, our Technical Services should be consulted when selecting the products . d) Restrictions REABILITA CAL RJ should not be ap plied at room and substrate temperatures below 5 °C and above 30 °C. It has a curing period of 28 days . In hot and/or dry weather or when substrate s are directly exposed to sunlight , the substrate should be previously wetted and application should only be start ed when it is dry .
